It’s that time of year – Nedfest! The Nederland Music & Arts Festival. Nederland is a cool little mining town above Boulder. Several endurance athletes have called Ned home over the years – cyclists, skiers, triathletes…Ya gotta like climbing though, roughly 1 hr uphill on a bike from downtown Boulder. It’s a gateway to the Rocky Mountain National Park and surrounded by trails and mountain roads. It’s a very organic way of living up there for sure.
Every year, Nedfest draws an amazing range of musicians and artists and it’s been fun to watch this event grow in popularity. Quick tidbit, EC Ambassador Tim DeBoom’s massage therapist for going on 2 decades, Kristin McFarland, has worked on the event staff since the beginning.
This year, an EC Favorite, ALO (Animal Liberation Orchestra) will be playing Nedfest Sunday around 4:30 – sounds like a great way to wind down the weekend. Go check ‘em out – you can thank us later! By the way, if you can’t make Sunday, ALO is playing at the Saturday night at the Bluebird Theater in Denver around 8:30 pm. Hope to see ya there.
