When Artists Attack…

Having spent alot of time in the Cardiff area training, I’m pretty familiar with the “Cardiff Kook.” An infamous statue of a beginner surfer catching his first wave. Over the years it’s been made fun of and regularly dressed up with all kinds of creative costumes. But, never has it been so magnificently decorated as this past week when a giant paper mache great white shark was erected around it. Wish I could have been there for that one – priceless.

Here’s a clip of the culprits responsible for the project giving a first hand account of now it went down. Pretty entertaining. Despite a number of “save the shark” petitions, the mgnum opus was torn down 3 days following it’s appearance.

Gotta love pranksters.
