If you’ve ever swam with dolphins, you know just how amazing that moment is. Every year in Kona we would swim out to the turn around buoy and hang out for hours just to wait for the dolphins to show up – always worth the wait!
The Cove looks like it could be the most heart wrenching and provocative movie of the year. The documentary about the plight of Dolphins in Japan shines a light into a secretive cove where an estimated 23,000 are slaughtered annually. There are screenings being held in select US cities throughout August. Producer, Fisher Stevens, will be holding a Q&A after some screenings in California. Hopefully this story gets some traction and will effect some sort of change. We plan on checking out the one night showing at the 29th St. Theater in downtown Boulder this Friday night – will report back.
