The Hell of the North, A Sunday in Hell or Queen of the Classics

It’s a special weekend for endurance fans. One of the oldest bike races in the world – the great Hell of the North, Paris-Roubaix – the Queen of the Classics is Sunday. I consider this event to be very similar to Kona – it’s got the history, the incredibly difficult terrain, the best of the best at the starting line and mother-nature.

This weekend looks to be another classic battle – the great belgians – Boonen, Devolder..against the aging great American, who is due, Hincapie, and a slew of others desperate to claim the greatest bit of cobble in world sports. Hincapie once contacted our own world champ, Tim DeBoom, to discuss nutrition for such long days of cycling. George figured that Tim must know a thing or two about how to properly feed himself after winning Kona twice.

Best of luck George – what a great story it would make if all the stars lined up tomorrow.
