The Other Form of Fuel

No matter how many calories you take in or how many Red Bulls you consume before a workout, there are always those days when you can’t seem to find the motivation to get out the door and get the work done.  That’s when you need another form of fuel, the type that energizes the soul and the mind.  Hunter S. Thompson touched on this very idea when he said,

“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel.  Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel.”

It doesn’t have to be Metallica at 500 watts  to get you moving I’ve discovered.  Sometimes it can be a ballad that is powerfully sung – where the lyrics just strike a chord within you and give cause to get off the couch and jump on the trainer.

Compliments of Mr. Mason Jennings.
