SO the new ALO Album dropped this week – Sounds Like This. Be sure to snag a copy – definitely worth the price of admission with summer looming. It’s getting rave reviews and the band is preparing for a summer tour in support of the album. if you like them on vinyl, you’ll love them live – a truly gifted bunch of guys.
EC Artist, Tony DeBoom, has been called upon over the past couple years to provide graphics for ALO, and this summer is no different. Tony provided a couple tees for the ALO Tour – so be sure to catch a show and snag a tee.
Head on over to OKDJ and snag a new tune off of ALO’s upcoming Brushfire Release – “Sounds Like This”. Given our love for the band, we’re psyched to say that EC artist, Tony DeBoom, will be providing a tee design or two for ALO’s upcoming tour the Summer Tour.
We’ve heard a few of the new tunes on the album and this amazing freebie, Room for Bloomin’ is a true representation of their musical range – it’s 9 mins long – yep, 9 mins long, and has some awesome guitar and piano solos by Dan Lebowitz and Zach Gill. We recently linked up with the band in Steamboat where they rocked the slopes right in front of the gondola and after spending the better part of the winter in the studio – they are tight!
Our friends ALO are busy in the studio this month working on their follow-up album to 2010’s Man of the World, to be released this year. Next month they kick off their 6th Annual “Tour d’Amour” of California. We’re totally stoked that EC artist, Tony DeBoom, was asked to provide the artwork for the tour. More coolness about that to come.
Tour d’Amour dates are listed on the ALO website – do yourself a favor and get yer tickets early – you can thank us later.
For now, here’s a cool tune by Tour d’Amour supporting act, Nicki Bluhm, and her album – Driftwood, which is garnering some pretty strong critical aclaim.
Check out the awesome art EC artist, Tony DeBoom, provided for ALO’s annual Tour d’Amour VI in California. All the shows have been announced for Febrauary 2012 (see below). Tickets go on sale this Saturday, November 5th. More details to come in the weeks ahead.

Yep, it’s been a few days since we posted anything, but that doesn’t mean we’re not pounding away here. In the past few days EC artist, Tony DeBoom, has been collaborating with Brushfire Records band, ALO, on a new project, as well as, Walden Surfboards out of Ventura, Calif. Lots of cool stuff in the works!!
Can’t show much yet, but keep your eyes here. Also, Tony is busy launching the new Tony DeBoom Designs
It’s one of those “it’s a small world” moments for us at EC, as we’ve recently been chatting with Scott Adams, founder of Surf Stronger and Ski Stronger. Scott is a former triathlete and also the brother of EC Pal and ALO bassist, Steve Adams. Like I said, it’s a small world.
Scott and business partner, Todd Walsh, took that triathlon training ethic to the surf world and released Surf Stronger and Surf Stronger – Core Training. Both videos have received accolades from some of the top surfing publications to include: Surfer, Surfing, TransWorld Surf, Tracks, as well as, surfers worldwide. The latest release from these guys is Ski Stronger – specific workouts to help develop the leg strength, core stability, and total body conditioning to make you a better athlete and a better skier.
As with many surf companies, Surf Stronger is a green company and fellow member of 1% For The Planet.
