Luigi Casola was a former pro cyclist from the days of Coppi and Magni who had moved to Mexico and married a Mexican woman. He was kind of the manager of the Mexico City velodrome and helped Ernesto Colnago prepare everything there for Eddy Merckx's famed hours record.
