The Legend of the Big Four

This variant is currently sold out

In the history of triathlon there is perhaps no more significant race than the first U.S. Triathlon Series event on June 12, 1982 at Torrey Pines State Beach in San Diego, California. Considered to be the shot heard round the world of endurance sports, this little event catapulted the sport of triathlon to the masses...and, along with it, the four men who would dominate the sport for more than a decade.

So, here's our little tribute tee to these four icons of the sport - Dave Scott, Mark Allen, Scott Tinley and Scott Molina. Additionally, it was Mark's first time ever toeing the line of a triathlon. Julie Moss was there; so was mountain bike hall of famer, Ned Overend; and, of course, triathlon historian, the ageless Bob Babbitt raced on a relay. And, because we know you're dying to know, Dave Scott won by two minutes.
