A Decade with EC & BCFF
In 2012 our young apparel brand was identified as a brand to watch by Outside Magazine at the summer Outdoor Retailers Trade Show in Salt Lake City, UT. Our casual and fun graphics registered with the audience and brought Endurance Conspiracy a lot of attention.
That year the OR Show also introduced us to the good folks at the Winter Wildlands Alliance. The WWA was formed in 2000 to provide a collective voice for all backcountry adventurers and the issues that effect their playground. The WWA works regularly with the Forest Service, National Park Service and a number of grassroots groups all in support of the human powered experience.
In 2005, the Winter Wildlands Alliance created the Backcountry Film Festival (BCFF) in order to promote and celebrate the human-powered winter experience. The Festival tours each winter to more than 100 locations around the world, raising funds and awareness for local groups working on advocacy, snow safety and outdoor education programs.
So, in 2012 Endurance Conspiracy's lead artist, Tony DeBoom, began what has continued to be one of our longest working relationships within the outdoors industry. Tony has been responsible for creating fun and inspiring graphics and posters that have toured the world along with the BCFF films. The vision has been from the beginning to visually promote the human-powered experience in the winter backcountry.
Here's a few of our favorites over the past decade.
We've been lucky to continue working with some amazing brands that have also supported the BCFF Experience and everything they represent: Sierra Nevada, Bonfire Collective, Yeti Backcountry, Flylow, MountainFLOW Eco-Wax, Big Agnes, Osprey, and All Good. What an amazing group to be affiliated with over the years.
Be sure to check out the calendar of screenings around the world here. And, if you can't find a screening of the films near where you live, reach out to the organization about scheduling a screening in your area.
EC will be releasing the 2022-23 Official Poster in the next few weeks, so be sure to check out where you can get a limited edition print of this year's artwork.
